Sustainable operation (ESG)

During its operation, Naturtex Ltd. strives for sustainable operation, compliance with the pillars of the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) framework.

The primary goal of the company is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, reduce the ecological footprint, and participate in the ESG process.

Renewable Energy

In 2021, a new production and office building was inaugurated in Szeged, part of which has already been installed with solar panels, and the plan is to establish a 1 MW solar park that will generate electricity for the Naturtex plant and the entire company group. The entire cooling-heating is realized with 100% renewable energy.

With the establishment of the 1 MW solar panel park in the Vajhát plant, the entire cooling-heating is realized with 100% renewable energy.

Thermal water technology

Feathers and down are washed and disinfected using unique thermal water technology at the Vajhát plant. The company operates its own water purification system. Contaminated water is subjected to special tests that meet European requirements. The use of warm, crystal-clear thermal water at 32°C guarantees the maximum purity of the filling. At the end of the production process, the water used in the technology is returned to nature in drinking water quality.

Thermal oil drying system

Naturtex uses a special thermal oil drying process. Compared to the usual drying process, the thermal oil system operates at a temperature of 135°C, 30°C higher. Thanks to this, feathers and down are extremely sterile and clean, as 99% of the germs in them are destroyed during drying. The shorter drying process also makes the feather and the flake more flexible, and the lifespan of the products increases.

Industry 4.0- Innovative development

Naturtex Ltd. implemented a number of developments within the framework of Industry 4.0. But what is Industry 4.0? The European Union stated as follow:

"Industry 4.0 describes the organisation of production processes based on technology and devices autonomously communicating with each other along the value chain: a model of the ‘smart’ factory of the future where computer-driven systems monitor physical processes, create a virtual copy of the physical world and make decentralised decisions based on self-organisation mechanisms."

In other words, Industry 4.0 is the interweaving of information technology and automation, thereby fundamentally changing production methods.

Naturtex Kft. manufactures its products with the most modern machines and energy-efficient technology. As a result of the new HUF 3.8 billion development, the production plant has new production lines, automatic packaging machines, and robotics to improve the production of all products.
